Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) was an American singer, musician, and actor. Regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century, he is often referred Presley is one of the most celebrated musicians of the 20th century. The Brown bear

The brown bear is a large bear distributed across much of the northern Eurasia and north America.Adult bears generally weigh between 100 and 635 kg.Its largest subspecies, the Kodiac bear, rivals the polar bear as the largest member of the bear family and as the largest land-based predator.There are several recognised subspecies within the brown bear species.In north America, two types of subspecies Ursus Arctos Horribilis are generally recognised-the coastal bear and the inland grizzly bear;these two types broadly define the range of sizes of all brown bear subspecies.An adult grizzly inland in Yokon may weigh as little as 80 kg, while an adult coastal brown bear in nearby coastal Alaska living on a steady, nutritious diet of spawning salmon may weigh as much as 680 kg.The exact number of overall brown subspecies remains in debate.

The brown bear's principal range includes parts of Russia, China,India Canada, the United States (mostly Alaska) and the Carpathian region (mopstly Romania).The brown bear is recognised as a national and state animal in several European countries.it is the most widely distributed of all bears.

THE SUMATRAN TIGER

The Sumatran tiger is the smallest tiger in the world.It lives in the Sumatra island in Indonesia .Males weigh 100 to 140 kg and measure 220 to 225 cm in length between the pegs with a greatest length of skull of 295 to 335 mm.

Females weigh75 to 110 kg and measure 215 to 230 cm in length between the pegs with a greatest length of skull of 263 to 294 mm.

It is darker in fur colors and has thicker stripes than the javan tiger.

Major threats include habitat loss due to expansion of palm oil plantations and planting of acacia plantations, prey-base depletion and illegal trade primarily for the domestic market.

A day in my diary

      On Thursday the 20th we had a great "Tsiknopempti" at school.As the custom says, we grilled souvlakia and sausages at the school yard to celebrate the last day we eat meat before the fasting of Easter begins.our teachers lit fire and they grilled for us.We stayed at the school yard and played football.We missed the three final classes!It was great!

     On Saturday the 15th, our parents' association organised a costume party for the Halloween.The party was in a very big place.All the children came and they wore their costumes.We played a lot of games, we danced and we ate a lot.There was also a guy who played with us and he organised a competition for the best costume, a dance competition and a song competition.The last one was very funny because some kids couldn't sing very well!I drank coca cola and I had lemonade.I had a great time!

Dozens of animal and plant species disappear daily . Cause , uncontrolled contraction of habitat , illegal hunting, pollution and climate change . Many of them have not even prevent them know . But any kind is lost , it takes him a bit of genetics and evolutionary history of hundreds of years , a valuable source of knowledge for man .
Representative species of the planet , as the giant everything had to be confined to half the size of that occupied a few decades ago . The Tigers lost in the twentieth century 90 % of the population ! The rhinos are threatened almost more than any other large mammal : a few dozen left anymore. Sea turtles face an uncertain future and African elephants are being decimated for their valuable ivory ...
According to the RED List of Threatened Species 2004 , which publicized scientists at the start of the global conference on the protection of biodiversity , 15,589 known species of animals and plants under serious threat of extinction , compared with 12,259 species included the corresponding list of 2003 . This increase is mainly due to human activities , leading many scientists to believe that life on Earth is entering a period of mass extinction of species .

THE GYPES

The vultures are large birds that feed almost exclusively on carrion , medium or large sized mammals. C is the physical construction differs from the other prey captured alive their prey .
